2020 TRACKING COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

Date: Two training courses – FIRST, June 8 – 10 & SECOND, June 11 – 13, 2020

 

Time: FIRST CLASS – ADVANCED TRAINING CLASS – 8:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2020 through 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 

 

SECOND CLASS – JHPTS-VISUAL TRACKING – SANCTIONED BASIC TRACKER 24-HOUR CLASS – 8:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, through 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13

 

Location: BOTH CLASSES -- RAM CENTER, 18048 US-14, Sundance, WY 82729 

 

Dual Course Costs: FIRST CLASS – ADVANCED TRAINING CLASS - $365.00 payable to Joel Hardin, 225 Mill Rd., Clearwater, ID 83552, with $100 deposit required to reserve space in this class, due by MAY 30, 2020.   SECOND CLASS – JHPTS-VISUAL TRACKING 24-HOUR SANCTIONED BASIC TRACKER COURSE - $365.00 payable to Wyoming State Trackers, c/o Denise Underwood, 620 W 58th Street, Casper, WY 82601, with $100 deposit required to reserve space in this class, due by MAY 30, 2020.

 

NOTICE ---   THE FIRST CLASS – AN ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE PRIMARILY A CLASSROOM CLASS, FOR ALL DESIGNATED TRAINERS AND ASSISTANTS AND ALL INSTRUCTORS AND ASSISTANTS AND ALL JOURNEYMAN AND SIGN CUTTERS!

 

THE SECOND COURSE IS A REGULARLY SCHEDULED 24-HOUR SANCTIONED TRAINING FOR ALL TRACKING LEVELS INCLUDING NOVICE AND BASIC 1-2 LEVELS. 

 

Meals & Accommodations: Dormitory style accommodations are provided June 7th through June 13th for all students regardless of First or Second Class grouping. Meals and snacks are provided from June 8th breakfast through June 13th lunch unless otherwise arranged.  Students must “sign in” on roster for meals and lodging accommodations.

 

The Advanced Training offered in the First Class starting at 0800 hours June 8th is primarily for trainers and assistants and Instructors and assistants.  I would like to have all Journeyman and Sign Cutters in the region east of the Rocky Mountains to attend this course of training. 

 

THE SECOND CLASS: The regular Sanctioned Basic Tracker Course, the SECOND CLASS – is open to all participants and interested Novices.  There are NO prerequisites for this training presentation.  This tracking course is open to all persons with tracking interests regardless of previous experience or training and will focus on primary training for beginning or novice student interests. This will be a certification course for all eligible students.  All tracking students will be provided training at an appropriate level for their development and upward progress.

 

This will be a 24 hour course beginning at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 11th with registration and lecture including power point presentation to provide Novice and Basic tracker understanding of training methodology, techniques and procedures. The presentation supports field training by providing student understanding of training methods, manner and objectives.  “Tracking” is a first
